We are outdoor enthusiasts who have spent the last few decades on the trails and are passionate about the gear that we take on our adventures.

Why don't we have more products for sale?

We hand pick each product that we carry after making sure that the item is made in the U.S.A.  and is "buy it for life" quality.  This means a smaller inventory. We are always on the lookout for new items so if you have a small business or have suggestions for U.S.A.-made outdoor products, we would love to hear from you!

Why are prices higher than other outdoor stores?

Accepted Answer

Quite simply, because we are committed to supporting American craftspeople. Selling only American-made goods means higher prices (and frankly, less profit for us) but we think it's worth it.

By purchasing our products, the user agrees that they are at least 21 years of age and legally permitted to own/purchase the products based on their local laws.  Other terms and conditions below.

Bear Trail Outfitters, LLC, hereafter Bear Trail Outfitters, offers products is conditioned upon acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein. Continued use of products constitutes manifestation of assent to the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein.
PURCHASER UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT ATHLETIC AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES CAN BE HAZARDOUS AND THE USE OF BEAR TRAIL OUTFITTERS’ PRODUCTS MAY INVOLVE RISKS AND DANGERS OF SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERMANENT DISABILITY, PARALYSIS, AND DEATH. PURCHASER FULLY ACCEPTS AND ASSUMES ALL SUCH RISKS AND ALL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR LOSSES, COSTS, AND DAMAGES THAT PURCHASER OR ANY USER MAY INCUR AS A RESULT OF PARTICIPATION IN ATHLETIC AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES, AND USE OF PRODUCTS WILL NOT MAKE BEAR TRAIL OUTFITTERS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RISKS AND DANGERS INHERENT IN ATHLETIC AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES.

Products may not be used for unlawful uses or for uses not expressly stated in instructional materials.  Bear Trail Outfitters does not represent or warrant that the use of this product will have the results described in its accompanying documentation or that the information provided with this product is complete, accurate, or useful. Bear Trail Outfitters expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
You agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Bear Trail Outfitters, its officers, employees, agents, successors, and assigns, from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, rights, and actions of any kind, including, but not limited to, property damage, infringement, personal injury, and death, that either directly or indirectly arise out of or are related to your use of the product.
Bear Trail Outfitters expressly disclaims any responsibility for any damage, injury, harm, cost, expense, or liability arising out of or related to use or misuse of products. Bear Trail Outfitters will not be liable to purchasers, users or any party, under any legal theory, whether in warranty, contract, strict liability, tort, or negligence, for any damages, claims, injuries, judgments, costs, or liabilities of any kind arising out of or related to use or misuse of products, including, but not limited to, personal injury, damage to property, loss of business, loss of income, special damages, incidental damages, consequential damages, punitive damages, or exemplary damages, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable. Bear Trail Outfitters’ total liability arising from or products purchased or Services is limited, to $100 USD or the amount paid for the product. 
Any claim, cause of action, or legal dispute arising out of or related to use of products will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to products that cannot be amicably settled will be referred to and resolved by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The place of the arbitration will be Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. There shall be one arbitrator agreed upon by the parties within twenty (20) days of receipt by respondent of the request for arbitration or in default thereof appointed by the AAA in accordance with its rules.
Should any provision of this Product Liability Disclaimer be deemed void, invalid, unenforceable or illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, the validity and enforceability of the other provisions shall not be affected.
Any failure on Bear Trail Outfitters part to exercise or enforce a right or provision of this Product Liability Disclaimer shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision by Bear Trail Outfitters. Bear Trail Outfitters rights and remedies under this Product Liability Disclaimer are cumulative and not exclusive of any other rights or remedies provided by law.
